Concepts

Sheetlabs has three core concepts that are referred to throughout this documentation. These are data tables, APIs and users.

Data tables

Data tables are where your data lives. When you upload a spreadsheet, it is converted into a data table, which is then held on the Sheetlabs infrastructure.

APIs

APIs sit on top of data tables and provide an interface to the outside world for your data. You can configure your APIs to support a variety of filters and limits on the data returned. APIs can be opened up to the world publicly or locked down to individuals.

Users

Users within your organisation can be granted administrative access over your organisation (allowing them to manage APIs, data tables and users), or simply be given regular user-level access (allowing them to access private APIs that are not publicly accessible).
